Piravom

Piravom is a village situated on the bank of Muvattupuzha River. It is located around 36 kilometers away from Ernakulam, 24 kilometers from Muvattupuzha and 42 kilometers from Kottayam. Private and state owned transport buses undertake passenger transport services to Piravom from different destinations.

There are christian churches, hindu temples in Piravom. It is not a tourist interest place but the natural beauty is visible in all areas. People are living happily and never reported any communal violence. Private and government hospitals are there and offers treatment on Ayurveda, homeopathy and modern medicine. My school, St. Joseph High School is very close to the government hospital. The Piravom bridge on the Ernakulam route is connecting Piravom and Pazhoor. Pazhoor Padipura (gate) is famous for astrology. The railway station around 5 kilometers away from Piravom and is called Piravom Road. Piravom is located in the Ernakulam District but Piravom Road is in Kottayam district. A big paper factory called Hindustan Paper Corporation is near to Priavom Road.
